Spectrometric observations of ten new emission line galaxies are presented. The physical properties of the two Seyfert galaxies, three H II regions and a possible Liner (Low ionization nuclear emission region) are described and discussed. The other four galaxies are very faint, and they are characterized by the absence of forbidden O III lines at 5007 A. They have been classified as low ionization H II regions.
