The photoelectric circle micrometers are important parts of the meridian circle. According to the principle of design, the repeatabilities of the whole system are required to be better than 0″05. Therefore, the circle micrometers are precise devices. The software for data acquisition and reduction and the problem related to illumination of the glass circle are discussed.
