Slit spectrograms of almost all emission-line stars of the Chamaeleon
T-association brighter than a B magnitude of 17.0 have been obtained. At
least eight of the observed stars are YY Orionis objects. The observed
properties of the YY Orionis stars are described and compared with those
of the 'ordinary' T Tauri stars of this association.
