Electron impact broadening of four Al I lines has been investigated by means of a wall-stabilized arc running in argon with a small admixture of AlCl3 vapor in the central part of the column. The electron density was determined from the half-width of the line Ar I 3949 A. Experimental half-widths for the Al I lines were compared with the results of electron-impact calculations; agreement was found within the expected accuracy.
