The absolute MB magnitudes that were used to compute the limits on the slope of the luminosity function were too faint by roughly 0.5 mag, and the values listed in Table 1 were too bright by roughly 0.5 mag due to two independent calculation errors. The corrected MB values are given in the new version of Table 1 presented herein. Using these corrected values of MB, we find that the 3 σ constraint on the slope of the luminosity function strengthens from β=-3.8 to -3.6 at an assumed break luminosity of M*1450=-24.5. The new joint limits as a function of M*1450 are shown in the updated version of Figure 2.
In addition, for one object in the table (SDSS J023137.65-072854.5 z=5.4), the MB value was miscalculated. The MB values were computed as offsets from M1450, and lack of coverage at 1450 Å for this quasar caused the value of MB listed in the previous version of Table 1 to be in error. Using instead the flux density of the spectrum at 1350 Å, we find that MB=-27.62.
