Low-resolution spectral scans from 3600 to 4200 A are presented for seven bright A-type stars. Theoretical spectra which explicitly include the opacity of 30 Stark-broadened Balmer lines were computed for a variety of line-blanketed model atmospheres. These spectra accurately reproduce the observations after allowance for the instrument resolution and for the metal-line absorptions not included in the theoretical spectrum.
