The semiquantum approach for an isotropic plasma is used to develop a nonlinear scattering theory for a magnetoactive beam-plasma system in the weak turbulence regime. Important aspects of the semiquantum formalism of interaction processes for an isotropic plasma are reviewed, emphasizing limitations, basic concepts, types of interaction processes, the plasmon kinetic equations, and modifications of the formalism for application to a magnetoactive beam-plasma system. Transition probabilities for Compton and nonlinear l-l scattering are derived from first principles; the explicit expressions for the derived scattering probabilities are evaluated in the weak- and strong-field limits. The theory is compared with and shown to be identical to previous results obtained for an isotropic plasma.
