Biography: Ross, D.

Melbourne-based David Ross was a prominent Australian amateur astronomer at the turn of the century. He was a pioneering telescope-maker and astrophotographer, and played a principal role in the short-lived history of the Victoria Branch of the British Astronomical Association. Ross was Victoria's leading cometary astronomer, with two discoveries to his credit.
