The present conference gives attention to dark matter in spiral galaxies, the need for the concept of dark matter, candidates for dark matter proposed by particle physicists, experimental limits constraining proposals for dark matter candidates, and novel evidence from Lyman-alpha research on galaxy formation. Also discussed are galaxy clustering and the dark matter problem, dark matter near the sun, missing mass from low luminosity stars, nucleosynthesis, cosmic strings and galaxy formation, the dark matter in galactic halos and clusters, the relationship of microwave background radiation to dark matter, and methods for microwave background radiation measurement.
