New data are presented on cluster luminosity functions and mass functions for selected fields in the globular clusters M13 and M71, extending down the main sequence to at least 0.2 solar mass. In this experiment, CCD photometry data were obtained at the prime focus of the CFHT on the cluster fields that were far from the cluster center. Luminosity functions were constructed, using the ADDSTAR routine to correct for the background, and mass functions were derived using the available models. The mass functions obtained for M13 and M71 were compared to existing data for NGC 6397. Results show that (1) all three globular clusters display a marked change in slope at about 0.4 solar mass, with the slopes becoming considerably steeper toward lower masses; (2) there is no correlation between the slope of the mass function and metallicity; and (3) the low-mass slope of the mass function for M13 is much steeper than for NGC 6397 and M71.
