Photographic spectra of three photospheric lines with an approximate resolution of 0.8 arcsec were used to evaluate average line profiles of granules and the intergranular space in quiet and plage regions. The bisectors of the profiles of the quiet regions were compared with numerical calculations from the literature. The calculated bisectors resemble the observed ones. The corresponding bisectors of the plage regions were found to be very different from those of the quiet regions. An increase of the FWHM may indicate a concentration of magnetic flux in the plage regions.
