A comprehensive set of molecular constants useful for line by line quantitative simulation of the absorption and photodissociation of CO and its isotopes at low and moderate temperatures between 91 and 115 nm is presented. The results have been obtained by combining low resolution band absorption and fluorescence cross section measurements with the rotational analysis of high resolution photographic spectra. Line widths associated to the predissociation processes are estimated. Vibrational and Rydberg series assignments are given for most of the upper states of the bands observed. This set of data should be directly useful in chemical models of astrophysical media exposed to UV radiation fields. It should also prove useful in further studies of the structure and dynamics of the CO molecule.
