We present and discuss thermal infrared images of the bipolar
star-forming region S106 obtained at wavelengths from 3 to 20 microns.
Spatial variations in dust temperature and opacity of compact sources
and extended emission are compared with the relative spatial
distribution of ionized gas and PAH emission in the nebula.
