Echelle spectra of the violet CN (0-0) in the coma of comet P/Halley were obtained 1986 April 04 with the Mount Stromlo 1.8-telescope. The identification of 13C14N and 12C15N lines in the spectrum are discussed. The aim of this work is to determine the isotopic abundance ratios for 12C/13C and 14N/15N.
