The authors calculate the electric potential which is to be expected on dust particles in a plasma, covering a wide range of plasma temperature, density and relative velocity between plasma and dust particle, two plasma compositions (H2O+ and H+) and some selected values of photoemission and secondary electron emission coefficients. Systematic trends in the results are discussed.
