Photometric parameters for comet Halley have been derived from total visual magnitude estimations. All observations are corrected by the aperture effect and reduced separately before and after perihelion. Four magnitude equations were obtained, three for pre-perihelion and one for post-perihelion, and the existence of a transition phase before perihelion has been affirmed.
