The hydrogenation of CO and C2H2 on icy grains may have contributed to the abundances of H2CO, CH3OH, and C2H6 in comets. This suggests that the chemical composition of the ice was modified from its initial state prior to incorporation into cometary nuclei. Here, we examine the relationships between these molecules and assess the conversion efficiencies of CO and C2H2. Potential groupings of comets will also be discussed.
