The main burst of the microwave burst of 1981 May 13 has a smooth, symmetric shape, the lifetime of the main burst is about the same in different wavelengths, the total duration is also about the same and its spectrum has a flat portion. This could be a new gradual type of burst. In this paper, a thermal model is proposed for the emission of this type of burst.
