Sub-mm/FIR emission from the Galactic disk and center regions is used to illustrate the dust emission from complex regions in interstellar space that can be discerned in cold dust heated by the general interstellar radiation field and emission from OB star-heated warm dust. Only O and early B stars are sufficiently luminous and numerous to account for an observed warm dust luminosity of nearly 10 to the 10th solar luminosities.
