We have retrieved and analyzed HST/GHRS high resolution data on interstellar CO absorption bands in order to extend the known correlation between CO and H_2 beyond the current limits based on UV absorption measures, and also to enhance the utility of FUSE data on far-UV CO transitions for which f-values are currently not well known. We present here data for 6 stars in the HST/GHRS archive which show significant CO absorption: In all cases, the individual rotational transitions are resolved. Profile-fitting and curve-of-growth analyses have been done to determine the column densities and b-values for each line of sight. Rotational populations have been used to study the excitation conditions for each cloud and have been compared to CO mm emission where possible. These data will be compared to H_2 absorption observed with FUSE in an effort to extend the known CO/H_2 correlation. In addition, the CO data can be compared with those from far-UV CO bands observed wtih FUSE in some of the same stars to help establish the correct f-values for the far-UV bands.
