High-resolution Digicon observations in the neighborhood of Hα reveal Gliese 268 as a double-lined spectroscopic binary with components of similar brightness. Separate orbital solutions of the primary and secondary velocities yield mutually consistent orbital elements; the authors find an orbital period of 10d.4, a moderately eccentric orbit (e = 0.34), and a mass ratio M1/M2 = 1.20. The primary and secondary minimum masses of 0.191 and 0.159 M_sun;, respectively, must be very close to the actual masses of the primary and secondary, which are both dM5e stars.
