Close Binaries:Mass Transfer, Mass Transfer:Close Binaries
Scientific paper
Some mechanisms of mass transfer in detached binaries are discussed. It is assumed that there is a disk of particles around the primary. The particles defining the outer rim of the disk are ejected due to a sudden increase of initial velocities. The increase of initial velocities is divided into radial and transverse velocities. The path of particles under different initial conditions have been obtained by means of numerical integration subroutines.
