VRI photometric observations of 15 stars in a field near the south Galactic pole, obtained using a 16-arcsec diaphragm and a GaAs photomultiplier detector on the 0.5-m and 1-m telescopes at ESO on five nights in October 1980, three nights in November 1981, and three nights in September 1984, are reported. The data are presented in a table, and a finding chart is provided. The V magnitudes of the stars are found to range from 11.3 to 16.6.
