UBVRI photometry and accurate J2000 positions have been obtained for 105 bright stars in the field of the globular cluster M13 = NGC 6205. The observed objects include the known variables of the cluster, most of the suspected variables, and a number of field stars suitable for calibrating CCD and photographic images and for serving as comparison stars for studies of the brightest variables. Partial support for this work was provided by an AAS Small Research Grant.
