We propose neutral hydrogen (HI) observations of six groups of galaxies ("Choirs") to study the star formation rate and star formation efficiency of galaxies in groups. Our sample is taken from the Survey for Ionization in Neutral Gas Galaxies (SINGG), which is an H-alpha imaging program of galaxies selected on their HI content. We will compare our observations with detailed simulations of the HI and star formation properties of galaxies in groups. We will also determine how the group galaxies compare with the singly-detected galaxies in SINGG. This is the first time such a sample of groups (with HI, H-alpha observations and simulations) has been assembled for study.
