All the available light curves of R CrB stars have been collected in order to find a connection between their inter-fade periods and other physical parameters. The frequency of the fadings seems to be strongly correlated with the [C/H] abundance ratio, in the sense that the smaller is the hydrogen deficiency of the variables the more enhanced activity can be observed.
