An evaluation is made of consequences obtained in the present treatment
of the energy density and maximum value of entropy for spherically
symmetric, self-gravitating and electromagnetically radiating systems
prior to their collapse into black holes. Attention is given to
Bekenstein's (1981) conjecture.
