The equilibrial configuration of an interstellar medium layer which is in an external or its own gravitational field and is simultaneously subjected to the effect of the magnetic field is determined. The law of surface density variation in both cases is identical. The bend of the mean line of the equilibrial configuration in an external gravitational field follows the sinusoidal law.
