An increase of X-ray flux from the Galactic black hole candidate 4U1630-47 was detected by MAXI/GSC on 2009 December 29 (UT). The one-day averaged X-ray fluxes (1.5-20 keV) were about 9, 15, 21, and 38 mCrab for December 26,27,28, and 29 (UT) respectively. The MAXI/GSC light curves can be found at http://maxi.riken.jp/top/index.php?cid=000000000001&disp_mode=source . Please note that the fluxes of 4U1630-47 shown on the light curve web page are contaminated by the Galactic ridge emission, which has been subtracted in the fluxes reported above.
