Temporal variations in the quiet Sun can be associated with changes in the convective properties and magnetic fields connected to the convective motions. Here we characterize the high-degree acoustic modes in quiet regions of the Sun during different phases of the solar cycle. We apply ring-diagram technique to the Global Oscillation Network Group Dopplergrams and focus on high latitudes above the activity belts. We also analyze the solar cycle variations of the magnetic field in the quiet Sun using Michelson Doppler Imager full-disk magnetograms. The results of this study will be presented.
