The Gamma Ray Imaging Spectrometer (GRIS) was flown on balloon over Fort Sumner, New Mexico on 31 May 1990. A 10 hour observation of the Crab was obtained. A highly significant detection of the total (nebula + pulsar) hard x-ray/soft gamma ray continuum was achieved. Results of this continuum will be presented as well as upper limits for previously reported lines. Results to date of the pulsar lightcurve will also be presented. The pulsar Vela X-1 was observed by GRIS from Alice Springs, Australia on 26 April and 7 May 1992. Spectra and lightcurves for this object will be presented.
