We have used the IRIM and SQIID detectors on the Kitt Peak 1.3m telescope to image several normal late- type spiral galaxies in the infrared (JHK) bands. We have extended these observations well beyond the maximum extent of the galaxy, in order to reach a true sky value. Results to be presented include JHK surface brightness profiles and colors, and optical surface brightness profiles (and optical - IR colors) for one or two galaxies. Implications of the results for models of stellar populations in these galaxies will be presented.
