Uvby (beta) photometric observations of the delta Scuti type star Beta Cassiopeiae are presented. Analysis of the data using both Fourier Transform and classical O-C methods establishes Beta Cas as a monoperiodic pulsator with a period of 0.10091d. The physical parameters of this star are determined. The analysis of the phase shifts between observed light and color variations suggests that Beta Cas can be a nonradial pulsator, but a discrepant amplitude ratio Delta (b-y)/Delta y is observed.
