The WeCAPP (Wendelstein Calar Alto Pixellensing Project) Team reports the discovery of a possible Nova in M31 on Dec. 10.093 UT (JD 2454444.593) detected in one 300-sec R-filtered and three 300-sec Halpha filtered CCD images obtained with the Wendelstein telescope (0.8m, 1k x 1k CCD camera with 24mu sq. pixels). The Nova candidate is located at RA(2000) =00h43m20s.01, DEC(2000)=+41o13'46".0, which is 401" east and 145" south of the center of M31 with a brightness of 16.5 mag in R-band.
