We continue our project of exploring normal galaxies in the serendipitous XMM-Newton catalogs. We identify galaxies based on their low X-ray to optical flux ratios and soft X-ray spectra and follow up with optical spectroscopy. Our main goal is to construct a large sample of spectroscopically identified normal galaxies and explore their physical properties separately for early-type and late-type galaxies. This will supplement our previous work in this field.
