We briefly highlight a few scientific results from the Subaru/XMM-Newton Deep Field (SXDF), the deepest of the square-degree multi-wavelength surveys, in the fields of galaxy evolution and large-scale structure. An update is also presented on follow-up studies of the radio source population, confirming the contribution of radio-quiet AGNs to the upturn in the radio source counts at flux densities S1.4⪉300 μJy.
