The Little Thompson Observatory is a community-built E/PO observatory and is a member of the Telescopes in Education (TIE) project. We are located on the grounds of Berthoud High School in northern Colorado. Annually we have approximately 5,000 visitors, which is roughly equal to the population of the small town of Berthoud, CO. The observatory is open most nights of the year, and is run entirely by volunteers. We are a founding member of Colorado Project ASTRO-GEO, and the observatory offers high school astronomy courses open to all students from the surrounding school districts.
