We propose to use the new high-Strehl capabilities of Altair/NIRI LGS to observe two newly-discovered satellites of Pluto. Pluto is the first known Kuiper- belt object to be a multiple system. We expect the data to yield information on lightcurves and near-IR colors of the new objects. These properties in turn have a bearing on the origin and evolution of the satellites. We will also gather valuable astrometric data on these objects, allowing us to refine their orbital solutions. Altair+NIRI NGS could also be used, but at lower expected Strehl.
