This paper is devoted to a description of the dynamics of the general theory of relativity (GTR), which remains invariant with respect to reparameterization of the time coordinate of Riemann space, after explicit permitting of the energetic coupling. It is shown that the evolutionary parameter of the GTR at the coupling surface coincides with one of the field variables, but not with coordinate time. In the new field variables obtained by a Levi-Civita canonical transformation, one of which coincides with the geometrical time interval owing to the equation of motion, an equivalent system without coupling is constructed, in which this interval plays the role of the evolutionary parameter. As a physical consequence of the quantization of the original field system and the Levi-Civita canonical transformation, it is found that the arrow of geometrical time in the GTR has a positive direction. A new reparameterization-invariant representation of the causal Green's function is found in the form of a path integral, which incorporates the evolution of the universe and changes into a Faddeev-Popov integral in the limit of infinite space-time.
