Fourier decomposition of the light curve indicates that the Cepheid HD 144972 is an overtone pulsator. Using the visual surface brightness technique, the authors find a distance to HD 144972 which places it in the open cluster NGC 6067. The evidence is strong that NGC 6067 contains two Cepheids - HD 144972 and CPD -53°7400p. The nearby Cepheid GU Nor appears not to be a cluster member.
