Recent results from N-body simulations of structure formation indicate that galactic dark matter halos may have a clumpy structure, with the density profiles of halos and subhalos showing steep cusps near the center. These features imply that the detection of particle dark matter through gamma-rays from annihilations in the Galactic halo, or from the integrated effects of smaller subhalos out to moderate readshifts, may be a promising method to detect supersymmetric dark matter. .
