The dynamical structures associated with relativistic jets as revealed by numerical simulations and theoretical calculations, and as suggested by observations are presented. Mechanisms for the production of nearly stationary and rapidly moving shock structures are illustrated. These types of structures are expected to arise naturally on the relativistic jets that are thought responsible for galactic microquasars, Blazar activity and γ-ray bursts. .
