The present study is mainly concerned with the observable quantities of merged galaxies. N-body simulations of galaxies are considered along with a new approach for finding the potential in a galaxy, the integration of the equations of motion, and the models used for the galaxies. Merging processes are discussed, taking into account equal mass merging processes and unequal mass mergers. In a discussion of the results for equal mass mergers, attention is given to mass loss, rotation curves, flattening and velocity anisotropies, the stability of bars, and profiles. The results for unequal mass mergers are compared with those for equal mass mergers, and profiles and mixing for unequal mass mergers are considered.
