A class of spacetimes with the mildest true classical singularities is shown to be quantum mechanically singular as well. These static quasiregular spacetimes with dislocations and disclinations are quantum-mechanically singular since the spatial portion of the wave operator is not essentially self-adjoint and thus the evolution of a test quantum wave packet is not uniquely determined by the initial wave function. .
