For the last six years we have been monitoring 24 blazars, considered potential TeV emitters, in the optical R-band. We use the KVA telescope on La Palma and the 1m telescope at Tuorla. Since 2004 the KVA has been also used to monitor those blazars that MAGIC is observing. We have given several alerts to MAGIC on optically active blazars, some of which MAGIC has then detected. Here we will describe our monitoring program and show some of the longterm lightcurves resulting from the program. We will also discuss the extension of sample of monitored blazars and the participation in multiwavelength campaigns.
