We present intermediate band photometric and astrometric observations at 8000A˚ and 9200A˚ of the galactic center region. Two unresolved objects are found near the positions of the compact non-thermal radio source in Sgr A and the infrared source IRS16. If either of the objects we find is at the distance of the galactic center, its emission must be non-stellar in nature. These objects may also be foreground stars. Spectroscopic observations are needed to determine unambiguously the nature of these objects.
