The latest generation of telescopes designed for the detection of high and very high energy gamma-rays have brought an enormous impulse to the research in this extreme portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. However, the astrophysical processes that give origin to emission at such high energies are still matter of debate. The search for counterparts in other spectral regimes, particularly in radio wavelengths, is a very useful tool to advance in the comprehension of the underlying physics. This contribution summarizes the characteristics of the best public radio databases and discusses the potential of dedicated high quality observations to investigate high-energy sources.
