The limits that can be placed on the radiative instability of neutrinos from various kinds of observations are discussed. It is assumed that a neutrino decays solely via the channel where the decay products are a photon and any particle with a mass smaller than the neutrino rest mass. The limits are derived by considering neutrino production in particle accelerators, earth's atmosphere (by cosmic-ray interactions), the sun, white dwarfs, central stars of planetary nebulae, and the big bang. The results obtained, expressed in terms of the quotient of the neutrino lifetime for radiative decay divided by the neutrino rest mass, indicate that the rate for the assumed decay channel is either negligible or an extremely small fraction of the total neutrino decay rate.
