Scatter plots of the recorded positions of type I and type III solar radio bursts are compared with Skylab X-ray maps of the solar corona. The results suggest that radio bursts are nearly always close to bright X-ray regions, that X-ray-dull regions of the sun wider than 30 deg in longitude are almost completely free of radio bursts, that type I and type III activity apparently requires greater coronal disturbance than does X-ray emission, and that such activity is found only near the brightest X-ray regions. The 27-day recurrence pattern of the radio sources is briefly discussed.
