Ridges of H I emission from the Magellanic Stream are observed with reference to its motion and composition. Findings indicate that the stream is not continuous, but composed of six disk clouds lying in a great circle. Expansion velocities of the gas are calculated, as well as radial velocity with respect to the galactic center. Attention is given to the separation of the stream into discrete clouds, as a result of vortices in a turbulent wake; as opposed to a tidal explanation.
